Linda was born November 10, 1959 in Long Island, New York. She holds a bachelor’s degree in arts and communications. After her graduation in 1981, Cohn worked for radio station WALK-AM as a sports anchor for couple of years. In 1992, she was hired by ESPN and that is still her employer today. She published a book named Cohn-Head: A No-Holds-Barred Account of Breaking Into the Boys’ Club. Linda used to be married to Stew Kaufman but they eventually got divorced.
